High School Musical & The Jungle Book
The Secondary Vocal Groups and Senior Primary choir are set to get a taste of next year’s show, while also preparing for end of year events.
High School Musical will be open to students in years 7 to 12 in 2019.
Jungle Book will be open to students in year 4 to 6 in 2019.
Secondary Vocal Group
The Secondary Vocal Group is beginning rehearsals for several future projects. Between 3:30pm and 4:00pm on Wednesdays’ the Vocal Group will begin work on songs from High School Musical as part of audition preparation some time in Term 4.
From 4pm until 5pm at the same rehearsal, the Vocal group will be rehearsing the return of This is Me which will be performed as part of Presentation Night.
So, come for the musical songs, or the Presentation Night rehearsal or both; Secondary Vocal Group Wednesday 3:30pm to 5pm Q408 MPAC.
Senior Primary Choir
Senior Primary Choir will begin practicing songs for the Primary Musical Jungle Book. This will be done in the early part of the choir rehearsal 3:05pm to 3:30pm. The second half of the choir practice will involve items being prepared for end of year events. Students in Year 3 in 2018 who will be in Year 4 in 2019 are allowed to the first half hour of Senior Primary choir. Students interested ONLY in the Jungle Book will need to depart at 3:30pm. If you are interested in having a go at choir, stay the whole time.
Jungle Book Information and Audition Dates
The Jungle Book will be performed on the nights June 7th and 8th 2019. Rehearsals will occur on Wednesdays 3:10pm to 5pm usually on the MPAC stage. The week of June 1st to the 8th is the busiest time for students involved, starting with a Saturday rehearsal 9am – 1pm on the 1st.
Auditions will occur after school on Wednesday 3:10pm to 5pm the 17/10 and 24/10. There is only a need to attend one audition day. Audition parts and music will be available on Ilearn shortly. Auditions will consist of part of a song and a short script. There is no dance audition as the whole cast will dance and key dancers will be chosen from rehearsals. Only students seeking a main role need attend as ANYONE WISHING TO BE PART OF THE CHORUS DOES NOT NEED TO AUDITION. The parts available are as listed below.
Boys and girls can audition for any of the roles. Except Mowgli (boy) and Shanti (girl).

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL AUDITIONS
The Secondary Musical will be rehearsed on Tuesday afternoon 3:10pm to 5:00pm through Semester 1 of 2019. This is partly to help students who wish to undertake sport commitments as well as the musical.
Auditions will be in the first weeks of Term 4. Only Students seeking main parts need audition as any student wishing to join the chorus need not audition.
