This year we have had a different giving focus each term in Primary Chapel and it has been amazing to see the students generously give to each cause.

Term 1 we supported the wider school and joined together with Secondary to give to charities such as Cancer Council.

When Term 2 came around we wanted the students to see the real and effective use of their giving, so we partnered with local Chappie Nathan Grady at Hercules Rd State School and our giving went to support the breakfast club for the students there. We were able to get Nathan and 4 students to come to our chapel and accept the gift of $500 which was a great opportunity for the students at Mueller to see first hand who their money went to.

Term 3 we focussed on global needs and in particular Cambodia. With Mr K preparing to send a team to Cambodia at the end of the year it was a great chance to highlight international needs. The support was amazing and even saw a Prep boy create a website to fundraise beyond Chapel. Overall our Cambodia fundraising raised $2290 to help the team and the building of a house for a family in Cambodia.

In November we turned our attention to our own doorstep and have been focussing on giving to our own Community here at Mueller. We have been bringing in food and money to give to Mueller Community Church to help them with their Christmas hampers. So far in three weeks the students have brought in $234.55 and a trolley load of food to give away.

We have been so blessed to see their generosity grow throughout the year and the eagerness at which they bring their offering each week! How cool!
