We heard you are a part of a choir heading overseas! Can you tell us a little bit about the choir and why you are going?
I’ve been part of the Voices of Birralee since the beginning of last year. It’s a soprano and alto choir that sings any song you can think of. For the past 5 years, the choir and its company has had a contract with the Department of Veteran Affairs to go over seas and represent Australia in performances related to the World Wars. This year, the choir that I am a part of is singing at the dawn service at Villers Bretonneux in France on Anzac Day, and will also be doing other choral competitions throughout Europe.

Where exactly are you going and how long for?
I’m heading over for three weeks and will be going to Austria, Croatia, Italy, and France.

What are you most excited for?
I am so honoured to sing at the dawn service, and I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to go on the tour. I’m also so excited to go to Disney Land!

What’s one piece of advice you could give younger students who want to follow their passions also?
Trust in God because through him you can do anything. Work hard at the thing that you are passionate about so that you can bring glory to God. Set backs will happen sometimes, but just keep being positive and keep working hard, because with God on your side, you can do anything.
