Last month in the Peninsula Palms Care Facility we hosted our first Couples Romantic Candlelit Dinner. There were several couples who attended, most of which are in different living situations than their spouse. For example, their wife may live in the Care Facility as she may require full time care while they are still living in independent living in their house in the village.
It was a beautiful evening that was created to remind the couples of their old memories from when they were younger. The romantic atmosphere was set by tying fairy lights around glass panels on the veranda. The couples enjoyed watching the sun set and the moon rise as they ate their three course meal.
The above photo is of a couple who were looking forward to the event so much that they even brought along their wedding photos. The husband states, “It was the best night we have both had in a very long time. I thank everyone for being apart of it.”
