Matthew 17:20
I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.

We are almost halfway through the final term of the 2019 school year. This may fill you with a variety of thoughts or emotions. As you take a moment to physically look at your child/ren, what are you drawn to? Have they changed? Have they grown? What has your year been like?

As we enter the season of final events, exhibitions and graduations from this year, may you draw on 2 things. Firstly, the testimony of the fact you have made it thus far and taking the time to be grateful for what you do have, right now. Secondly, God longs to be your source of provision from this point on. Have faith.

Faith. You cannot see the wind, but you can see what it does. You can watch trees wave back and forth as the wind blows their branches. You can watch a boat glide across a lake as the wind pushes its sails. If someone said, “I don’t believe in the wind because I cannot see it,” that would be silly. We know the wind is real because we can see everything it does.

Just like the wind, we can’t see God either—but we can see what He does. We can look at the night time sky and see the moon and stars He created. We can see His power in the waves of a mighty ocean. We can watch a flock of geese fly south for the winter as God guides them along. And we can see His artwork when He paints colourful sunsets and rainbows.

God wants us to know He is real. That is why He reveals himself to us through His creation. If you want to see God, just look around at all He does. God’s work is everywhere!
Our Daily Bread for Kids

If the next couple of months seem like an impassable mountain, know that God has gone before you, He is with you and is working through you and those around you.

Enjoy these last few weeks of 2019!
