Mueller College hosted an ‘Opening Minds’ conference with like-minded students from Bundaberg Christian College to provide a day of high intellectual challenge and enrichment experiences for students in grades five to eight. The conference consisted of a variety of presentations where selected students were able to hear from experts and grow in their understanding of leadership qualities, developing a Growth Mindset, perseverance, and attributes of themselves as a learner. In mixed-age groups, students attended workshops where they were given problem-solving tasks that involved creativity, deductive and logical reasoning and higher-order thinking skills.
There was a lot of positive feedback from students who really enjoyed their day.
