The Arts Cube Mural Begins!
Facing D-Block and the John Lacey Sports Centre, a new mural will soon be on display. Painted on the end of the new Arts Cube, the work will be a cascading swirl of sky and stars based on the painting, ‘Starry Night’ by Vincent Van Gogh. The work also refers to the scripture in Psalm 147: “He counts the number of the stars; He gives names to all of them.”
As well as brightening this part of the school, it is a reminder to all our students walking to class and those from other schools going to sports competitions, that all of us are special in God’s eyes.
The work will be completed by local artist Matt Schmidt over the last weeks of the school year.
