Our amazing library staff have put together an exciting week of celebrating all things reading.
Bookweek will be celebrated in week 6 this term (19-23 August).
Students have the opportunity to dress up as their favourite book character and take part in a Parade in the John Lacey Centre on Tuesday morning 20 August starting at 9.00 am. All parents are invited to attend. Each student who participates in the parade will be presented with a small gift. This is for fun and engagement in reading, so there will not be individual prizes for costumes, so just have some fun with this, as this is not to add stress to busy households.
Appropriate closed-in footwear must be worn as well as clothes of an appropriate nature that safely allow students to participate in school activities.
Students are invited to also be part of the week long celebration of Bookweek in the library during each break time. There will be lots of fun activities and competitions.
