Congratulations to the newest members to join the prestige rank of adjudicator with the QDU (Queensland Debating Union), Year 11 students Zoe Turner and Alyssa Houghton.
After a successful 2019, competing at the highest level of debate statewide, Zoe and Alyssa decided to take things to the next level.
Through a comprehensive interview process, including training seminars and an online exam, both students demonstrated intitiative, determination and exceptional analytical skills. They are now qualifed adjudicators and looking forward to beginning their paid positions.
On top of this, they both continue to represent their own Year Level in Debating, and look forward to beating their own record of one of the top 8 debating teams in Queensland. They also show commitment to improving the debating community at Mueller College, by volunteering their time to mentor the younger teams coming through.
It is hoped that they will bring their expert knowledge to their own debates and continue to make Mueller proud by representing at the excellent standard we saw last year.
