This week we meet new Chinese teacher, Jia Sun. Take a look below at Mr Valese showing off his Chinese skills as he introduced her to the senior students via online learning last week.
What brought you to Mueller?
I was raised in a Christian family and I know Mueller College is a distinctly Christian school that prepare students for life in this world by applying bible knowledge through education. We are united in what we believe. And at that time, Mueller was looking for a Chinese teacher and my contract was almost finished with my previous school.
What is your current role?
Secondary Chinese teacher (Year 7 – 12)
What are you most passionate about in teaching/your role?
My students. I love interacting with and communicating with my students. I enjoy sharing knowledge and seeing the progress made by them every day. Also, I can learn from students and other professional people.
What was your very first job?
Barista was my first part-time job in uni, because I love coffee making and latte art. After school, teaching was my first full-time job.
