This week our Year 9 Food Technology students tackled their first semester practical exam – a mean feat after so much time away from the school kitchen. With the diversity and inclusivity of Harmony Day in mind, students were asked to choose a nation and research things like key ingredients and cooking methods used in that country. They then had to prepare a dish that reflected their research.

Their multicultural showcase saw students prepare everything from Western Style Indian Curry, to Italian Carbonara, and Chinese Garlic Beef and Fried Rice. It also meant they shared a pretty amazing feast together over lunch!
