The ovals were full again this week of students enjoying the fun and colour of the Primary Athletics carnival. In a year where so many things have been stopped it was wonderful to hear the laughs and to see the competition rolling. Congratulations to the students for their effort and enthusiasm and to the Primary staff, especially the PE team, on putting together such a good day.

There was also a change of gear for the Year Twelve students who have now completed their last assignments and have started to climb the hill towards external exams. It is another new experience for them in a year filled with new challenges for them to confront. They are a resilient group of students who have taken in their stride all that has been thrown their way and we are looking forward to working through these challenges together and seeing them reach their potential.

A third event of the week was the starting of a student-led prayer group on Monday. Student-led initiatives are such a positive aspect of school life and we are looking forward to the ways that the student’s heart to bless each other will shape the school. In fact, prayer has been a key focus of the Mueller community for decades. There are many stories in Mueller’s history of God answering the prayers of the school community. In fact, it is one of our greatest privileges to see the work of God in our school and we are blessed by faithful people who pray!

Every Thursday morning a group of staff meet for prayer. It has been a tough season for many in the school community and our prayer for you all this week comes from Colossians 1: 11. Paul, who wrote Colossians, is praying for his community and says,

We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy.”

Our prayer for you all is for endurance and patience as you need it and for a joy-filled week!
