Students in Years 10, 11 and 12 who have expressed an interest in pursuing a science research career were invited to attend “A Day in the Life of a Scientist” workshop at the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute in Herston. The excursion involved a practical laboratory experience run by a research scientist.

The focus of the workshop was Immunology, and students investigated a case study where they diagnosed Ross River virus using patient information and samples.
