This week we take a moment to appreciate the amazing staff who operate the hub, the central station, the nerve centre of Mueller College – Student Services. With kindness, attention to detail and laser-focus, they execute a web of roles that help everyday school life tick over efficiently.

The printing, collating and laminating load that passes through the office daily would astound most as they serve the needs of both staff and students, helping to print exams, assessments and resources. Ruth Snape, the longest-serving in the office, is the friendly voice on the phone who responds to each and every absentee call, message and email, and has processed over 17,000 absentee messages so far this year!

The team, led by Jenny Wilson, provides essential support to students as they help them find their way around campus, assign lockers, relay parent messages and reunite lost property. COVID gave them an added burden this year with many of their processes turned upside as they sought to keep track of both online learning and on-campus attendance.

We are so thankful that our Student Services superstars are always ready to lend a hand, and a smile, to our staff and students. Let’s all give them a round of applause or a word of appreciation this week!
