Our Year 11 and 12 Drama students did an outstanding job in the Absurdist performances last Thursday night. The evening was centred around 21st century theatre styles specifically expressionism performed by Year 11’s and our Year 12’s performing theatre of the absurd installation pieces. The theatre style was very avant-garde and heavily built around the feelings expressed on stage to an audience.
The performances were highly energetic, physical and emotive and were performed inside the the Arts Cube and surrounding areas. The evening was a huge success with an audience of up to 200 people in attendance to see the performances. A wonderful achievement by a Year 11 and 12 Drama students.
