After missing out on the cross country in 2020, our Secondary school was blessed to have a day in between torrential downpours and snap lockdowns to get outside and run this year’s event. Though the oval was still mushy underfoot and runners had to dodge the puddles on the course, the sun was out and students had a ball.

This year, timed races were divided into distances with all of the age groups running together across 3K, 4K, and 6K courses. Then a series of ‘fun run’s’ took the remaining students to the course to jog, walk or even skip their way around. There were even a handful of students who tackled the competitive race and then joined the rest of their cohort for the fun run in a second lap around!

Official winners will be awarded at the first Secondary assembly of Term 2. Well done to everybody who contributed to a fantastic day of competition and community.
