There is a new anime-inspired Mural outside the Music rooms created by Year 12 student, Alex Lundburg Hall.
As the last Music Room mural used students in Year 9 in its composition, this artwork uses some of the students who do Arts subjects. It is a painting of friends playing in an imaginary world of their own making – something many young people can relate to from those who create their own rock bands, or design comics in a club, to those who build game-worlds online. Many of these creative experiences are better when shared.
Creativity is an exciting and joyful experience which makes sense as we believe in a Creator God. It gives us a chance to risk, explore and play! Creativity is also about building up not destroying things. When we nurture new ideas, we want them treated kindly by others. How else will they grow? Think about that next time someone shares a crazy idea with you.
