Our Year 8 students experienced 3 days fun team building activities at CYC Camp Burleigh.  A rainy start didn’t get in the way of “The Amazing Race” on the first afternoon, with some of the teams using engaging interactions with the public to get their challenge photos in the bag!

The students worked through 3 rotations of the Canoe and Catapault Challenge, Surfing/Bodyboarding and Initiative Games with great enthusiasm and impressed their CYC Team Leaders and the Mueller Staff with their commitment and courage in completing each challenge!  We had beautiful weather and the Burleigh Headland and Tallebudgera Creek and Beach are all a glorious part of God’s creation to enjoy some new experiences, including a massive sandcastle building group challenge.

Trivia Night was also an opportunity for energetic discussion and teamwork, and some students took the opportunity to expand their board game repertoire with a few rounds of “Blokus”!  Lots of fun memories were made and many opportunities given to expand friendships, have some praise and worship, and understand how we can be a good friend to each other by following Jesus example of humility.
