The Year 12 Legal Studies Cohort visited the Brisbane Courthouse today and watched live cases in both the District and Supreme Courts. Students witnessed trials taking place and sentences handed down, identifying personnel in the courtroom as they observed.

The highlight of the day was acting out the beginning of a trial in an empty courtroom. Cody Williams starred as the Crown Prosecutor and Mia Atley judged the proceedings. Chelsea Peebles had a great time as Judge’s Associate as she empaneled jury members.

The day at the court invigorated students’ passion for justice and their dreams of being future barristers, solicitors, associates, and police officers!
