Last week’s lockdown meant a Cartoon Workshop for the Year 5 students had to be postponed. Of course there was much disappointment but little did they know that their teachers already had a surprise in motion. Brett from ‘Cardytoons’ had already been working on creating caricature drawings of every child in the grade. Not only that, but their teachers had covertly asked the students about their favourite passtimes earlier in the year, and sent them to Brett so he could incorporate it into the artwork, making it specially personalised.

Over the years he has done at least 500 caricatures of Mueller students. In the past he used pencil and paper and it took about 5 minutes per sketch. This is the first year he has gone digital and used his iPad. The students received the special surprise in their iLearn ‘mailbox’ over the weekend.
