Mueller College OSHC is once again coming alongside Samaritan’s Purse: Operation Christmas Child, to help in their endeavours in providing shoebox gifts to children around the world that are affected by war, poverty, natural disaster and famine. Not only will these boxes be sent to children in need but they’ll also provide an opportunity for the Gospel to be shared.

How do I get involved?

It’s easy! If you have any items you wish to donate, there will be bins that are labelled around Mueller College, located at the front office, Residential Community Centre, Early Learning Centre and OSHC. They will be available at those locations from the 1st of September to the 22nd of October.

Filling my own box?

There is an option to fill your own box and deliver the box to one of the bin locations. OCC shoeboxes are available at Mueller OSHC to collect and fill, or you can use any empty shoebox to fill.

Need shoebox gift ideas?

“Wow” items (stuffed animals, shoes, soccer ball with pump), toys (cars, skipping rope, yo-yo), non-liquid hygiene items (toothbrushes, soap bars, washcloths, combs), school supplies (pens, pencils, notebooks, solar calculators), accessories (socks, sunglasses, flashlights with batteries).

Note: Please avoid items that melt or leak (shampoo, aerosol cans, bubbles) as well as food items, fragile or breakable items, scary items and religious literature (children are given an OCC evangelistic book at an outreach event).

It would be great to see Mueller as a community get involved to make these gift packs possible.
