The cast is still working hard and putting the finishing touches on the production as they get ready for the weekend performances. We managed to steal a few moments with two of the leads, Charlotte Bird (Nala) and Micah Rossman (Simba), to ask them about their experience in the musical…

What is your favourite thing about being in the musical?

Micah – I like acting and also singing. I really love music.

Charlotte – Acting is my favourite and getting to know the other characters. It’s kind of fun to act with other people.

Why should people come and watch The Lion King Jr?

Micah – We’ve been working really hard on it and the costumes look amazing!

Charlotte – Because it looks really good – all the different characters and costumes and the dancers – it’s very creative and it looks really good.

Who are you most excited to watch you perform?

Micah – There’s a lot of people coming on both nights but my mum is probably the main one I’m looking forward to seeing me.

Charlotte – Some of my teachers from the past have said that they’re going to come and watch me which is pretty exciting.

What are you looking forward to about the performances?

Micah – I’m nervous AND excited about the performances. I’m looking forward to the first show because it will be the most nerve-racking and there’s more people from my family watching me.

Charlotte – I’m looking forward to the second show because I’ll be feeling less nervous!
