They’ve waited through Covid, they’ve waited through weather events that eventuated, and even those that didn’t. Finally, the Year 12 Drama students got to perform their Absurdist pieces to a small student audience this week.

With their left-of-field approach to existentialism, the strange scenes are sometimes confronting, sometimes comedic, and always provocative. So much so that students in surrounding classrooms couldn’t help but ‘eavesdrop’ on the performances.

Despite the obstacles that delayed this assessment, the students brought their best, producing a show that gave their audience the ’emotional kick in the guts’ they had set out to achieve.
