Our Early Years classes welcomed their some special people on campus last week for Grandparents’ Day. Families were given the chance to join their grandchildren in their classroom to get a glimpse of school life. Some were treated to class performances, others coloured together and some even received a special craft project when students pressed their thumbprints onto clay. One class got a lovely surprise of their own when a grandparent brought their guide dog along for the morning.

Students then walked hand-in-hand with their guests to MPAC where over 400 grandparents joined in for chapel. They praised together, joined in for some family games and heard from Geoff Parry with his grandson as he shared about how the students had been contributing to Transform the Nations by supporting children in Nepal with their chapel offerings.

With a special cookie gifted as they left, it was clear that the grandparents were grateful for the time with their little loved ones and our Early Years students were proud to welcome their family into the school. Grandparents day was a hit with everybody!
