Year 8’s have worked hard all term to learn direction words in Chinese to navigate their surroundings. They have shown they can talk the talk, and last term they had to prove they could walk the walk in a scavenger hunt around campus!
There was a table tennis championship, time to tackle some popular Chinese pastimes like skipping and jianzi (Chinese hacky-sack), hands-on paper crafts, a delicious Chinese lunch, and a bubble-tea stall that proved so popular that it sold out in minutes. The students even squeezed in some shopping in an Asian supermarket with some unfamiliar foods as well as some classroom favourites.
