Year 6 have set off on their great adventure to Far North Queensland. The group is taking an educational tour of Cairns that will see them exploring the area from the rainforest to the reef.

There was some light trepidation in the air on Sunday as students said their goodbyes to family and left for the airport. For many, this was their first flight. They made it to Cairns, settled in the hotel, and participated in their first activity, a sustainability workshop. There were a few tears at bedtime but they had a great first night and set off Monday morning to explore. Some headed to Hartley’s Crocodile Park, others to to the Tablelands, and some to Fitzroy Island for a taste of the Great Barrier Reef.

The group returns later in the week and is sure to have some great stories to tell!
