Certificate III Hospitality students recently visited Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) for a backstage tour of Queensland’s largest conference venue. Students were awestruck by the immenseness of the building and its capabilities to cater for the ever-growing events industry.

While there, students learnt about Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) policies that the BCEC implements and how catering for events that host thousands of guests is applied successfully. The class then lunched at Southbank and afterwards boarded a RiverCat passing by some of Brisbane’s most popular dining precincts and onto Racecourse Road at Hamilton. It was a great day out experiencing the hospitality and events industries.
