Shiny shoes, fresh haircuts, and uniforms that might have seen their only iron of the year – students were looking spic and span when they walked through the gates for the first day of 2023 on Monday. For some, it was a day they’d been waiting for as they looked forward to catching up with friends and getting back into routine. Others were walking into a brand new school, trying to remember names, places, and new schedules. All were greeted with a smile from their teachers!
There were tours around the school, ipad and textbook collection, introductions to new staff, assembly for the Secondary students and finally, a mega lunch before megaChapel! After time together praising God, the students were introduced to two special staff who are joining Mueller this year – Mrs Harmer who will join Mr Ryan as a school counsellor, and Mr Tuuu who is the new Indigenous Liaison Officer.
Before we knew it, the day was over! It was a huge start to the year, and the atmosphere of faith amongst students in megaChapel set an amazing foundation for the season ahead.
