Last week the Year 10 Animal Studies students got a visit from Urban Reptiles who brought along their collection of animals to show the class. Half of the class was bracing themselves each time a sack was unfurled to reveal the creature inside, and the others were leaning forward, ready to get up close and hands-on!

Students were introduced to a frill-neck lizard, two short-necked turtles, and three snakes, and discussed the reptiles’ habitat, food, and care. They then had a snake handling demonstration before some had the opportunity to use the tools to give it a go themselves.
