Year 11 students split in two last week to go to the boys and girls camps on the Sunshine Coast. The girls had a fantastic few days exploring the camp theme, ‘Rise to the Challenge’, and trying activities that were new to many of them. Five tribes of campers enjoyed the beach having surfing and bodyboarding lessons with Coolum Surf School. Beach games saw them attacking Survivor-style physical endurance challenges with some sandcastle fun thrown in.

Back at Luther Heights, they summoned their courage and took to the skies with high ropes challenges, the flying fox, crate climbing, catapult creation and more. Nights brought them all together for trivia, a 70’s night with dance challenges and a costume parade, and a traditional campfire sing-a-long as they toasted marshmallows.

On top of all that, the tribes spent the week competing to come out on top and take home the camp lolly jar! Their time away will remain a highlight for many!

(Stay tuned next week to see what the boys got up to on their camp adventure.)
