The Primary students are loving the new playground areas. During playtime, you will see students swinging, running through the ninja course, digging in the sand, sliding down the slides and hiding in the cubby houses. One of my favourite activities to watch is children making sand pies, soups, and all sorts of creations from the play area, including sand, water, and garden matter.  This kind of play is super engaging but also super messy.

This picture often reminds me that life is messy.

Every day, we deal with all sorts of messy situations. We encounter hard circumstances, conflict, heartache, disappointments, and sadness. But what I do know to be true, is that God is in the mess.  He is with us through it all. He will never leave us, and we are never alone.

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8

If you feel like you’re in ‘the mess’ right now, please know that God is with you. He loves you, He sees you, and He cares for you.  He is working with you and for you,  to turn your mess into a beautiful message. Our loving God is in the mess, and we can be so thankful for that!
