The Year 6 camp last week saw over 130 students adventuring in Far North Queensland.

The cohort saw the best of Cairns, taking the Skyrail to Kuranda, the catamaran to Fitzroy, and the bus to the Atherton Tablelands. They saw crocs at Hartley’s, learned about Indigenous culture and how to use the forest as a ‘pharmacy, grocery store and more’, and got up close with some turtles before donning their snorkel gear to take to the Great Barrier Reef and seeing some of them in the wild. A highlight for many was the natural rock slide at Josephine falls.

For some, it was their first time on a plane, and for many, it was the longest time they’d spent away from family. They returned home with exciting stories to tell and experiences in the bank.
