“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
During the September holidays, 12 students and 4 staff embarked on a journey to Nepal for a cultural and ministry exposure trip. This unforgettable experience offered a blend of cultural immersion, spiritual growth, and hands-on service opportunities.
Our adventure began with orientation and cultural learning, followed by an exciting “amazing race” challenge through the streets of Kathmandu. During the trip, we visited the famous Monkey Temple, met with local believers, and shared stories and testimonies with both locals and within our team. We were stretched and challenged as we spent time in village contexts and once again had a wonderful opportunity to build relationships with the children at the Transform the Nations Project Centre.
Our service project was a key focus; spending a few days painting the exterior of Promise Bilingual School. We also visited small business projects that support local communities. A highlight was a memorable trip to Netra’s village, where we enjoyed a traditional lunch. We all returned home with a renewed appreciation for the many blessings we have here in Australia. Through it all, we saw God’s work unfold in ways that deepened our faith and connection to His work in the world.
