Last week, our Year 5’s went on an adventure to CYC Burleigh Heads for this year’s camp. Day one saw them jumping straight into activities on the water with tubing, dragon boating, raft building and giant stand-up paddle-boards. They then settled into their cabins before a big night dance party where they tried to out-dance Mr Roxburgh’s famous moves.
Day two began with early risers enjoying a beach walk, more water activities and initiative games during the day, and devotions and a movie to end the day.
Day three saw them greeted with pancakes and the happy, full campers went back to the creek for their last few moments adventuring, finishing with a belly-flop competition!
Camp is a fantastic opportunity for students to be challenged, stretched, and encouraged. Teachers were praying they would form deeper friendships, make lots of wonderful memories and be encouraged in their faith.
