Christmas is not about getting what we want but about God giving us what we need.
We all want our favourites for Christmas lunch and a shopping list of presents for the tree. Christmas can easily become about our list of wants. We enjoy the Christmas season, all for different reasons. As nice as it is to give our children what they want and for us to receive what we want, we may not always know exactly what we ‘need’.
Christmas is about God giving us what we need – himself. The Christmas message is about God sending us the saviour, the promised Messiah. We all need to be reconciled with God, and it is only through Jesus that this can happen.
2024 is almost finished. I want to sincerely thank you for your support and encouragement. These past few weeks have been the most encouraging few weeks I can remember. There has been a real sense of unity, which has been evident in the recent celebration events. The Mueller community is a special place.
