At the end of 2024, we said goodbye to our beloved long-term librarian, Mrs Sandy Anderson. Sandy retired after 30 years at Mueller, seeing every iteration of the library and every season of the school over her career. She has taught thousands of students (and shooshed nearly as many!), encouraging reading, literacy and a love of the written word. Mrs Anderson has a penchant for FUN, bringing Book Week to life each year with eccentric costumes and decorating the library with whimsy and humour. We’re praying retirement is a joyful new season for her and her family.
Stepping into her big shoes is Mrs Fiona Richens. Mrs Richens has been in the classroom for many years but now brings her creativity and love for teaching to the library team.
The library is open during breaks for students to read or study, and plenty of activities are on offer for Primaries. With junkyard craft, lego, drawing den, colouring-in corner, games and movies, it is a lovely retreat for those looking for a quiet lunchtime activity.
