Year 4 are currently learning about the water cycle and Mrs Payne’s class jumped into a practical science lesson this week. 4 Blue made their own irrigation system using paper cups, straws, blu-tack and water. They made predictions about what level they would have to fill their cups to before the water would transfer down the ‘pipes’ to the other cups.
Then, they got to work in groups, taking great joy in using some blue dye for dramatic effect. There were squeals of excitement when the project was successful, with some adjustments along the way and a few quick repairs as some of their joins sprung a leak!
