With the threat of rain looming, Primaries took to the oval last week for the 2025 Cross Country.
The upper Primary students brought fanfare and team spirit with enthusiastic war cries, plenty of coloured zinc and tutus galore. They were challenged with the longest courses, putting their endurance to the test and making it a whole lot sweeter when they crossed the finish line.
Prep students approached the starting line with equal parts nervous apprehension and jumping-out-of-their-skin excitement for their first big race at school. With the help of some big Secondaries showing them the way, and plenty of cheers from family, they made it to the end for their zooper-dooper reward.
Years 1-3 were stretched with slightly longer races than last year, and they met the challenge with guts and grit. When they struggled, a helping hand in the form of a friend wasn’t too far away. The parent race topped off the day with lots of families flexing their athletic muscles on the track to the absolute delight of their kids!
The weather was kind in the end, with our athletes just having a few extra puddles along the way to make it a true cross-country!
