Police officers and vets, a foster mum and a snake catcher, a makeup artist, professional soccer players, and many more, turned up in Prep last week for Careers Day! Students dreamed of what they would be when they grew up, sharing their plans with their class in a talk during class.
The whole cohort then gathered in MPAC to listen to some special parent visitors. Grace’s mum shared about her career as an international journalist and soon-to-be commercial pilot, showing students some snapshots of the 17 different countries she has lived in. June’s parents had everyone’s eyes wide as they talked about their careers in policing and showed them the various tools in their kit. Finally, Leo’s mum got everybody up and moving with a mini dance party where she gave them a little taste of her career as a DJ!
