The student plane build continues this year, with the Savannah kit slowly taking shape in the aviation classrooms. Joining Mr Banks each week to oversee the build are several mentors who have their own aviation experience and a shared passion for planes.
This term, the mentors have taken a few minutes at the end of the lesson to share some life stories. Last week, students heard from mentor Charles about his experience as a soldier at the Battle of Long Tan in Vietnam, a history lesson straight from the horse’s mouth.
