Last week, Year 12 student Jessi competed at the 2026 WorldSkills VET in Schools competition at Southbank TAFE. She was invited to attend the event because of her previous gold medals from the Australian Culinary Federation’s national challenge.
Jessi was up against 9 other students from the Greater Brisbane region. The task? Students had 3 hours to present 3 chicken poke bowls followed by 3 choux pastry desserts, showcasing a variety of knife skills, cookery methods, and techniques.
Jessi placed 1st! Achieving yet another gold medal, this brings her competition tally to 4. For her efforts, she will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Adelaide next year for the national competition. Mueller is so proud of you Jessi!
