Over the past few years, Mueller has experienced the loss of several much-loved members of its school community to Brain Cancer. These have greatly impacted and affected students, parents, and staff alike. Brain cancer is a disease that shows no preference or partiality. The lives lost or affected in our school community make this a significant cause and focus each year in Term Three as we raise awareness and funds for the Mark Hughes Foundation, an organisation that researches brain cancer treatment.

The week consists of a special assembly, the Asher Mashonganyika Memorial Basketball game, Beanie stall, and BIG CHILL event.
This year the week will also focus on contributing to the children of Nepal in the care of Transform the Nations, with some of the beanies sold going to Nepal.  Students will have the opportunity to purchase a beanie at the Beanie Stall from Tuesday 4th of August – Friday 7th of August, for themselves to wear or to buy one for a child in Nepal.

We end the week with The BIG CHILL 5.0. Friday 7th of August will see staff and students across the Primary and Secondary school take the slide into the icey water as part of the weeks fundraising and awareness. It promises to be another epic (and chilly) event!
