Year 9 put on their coats, donned their safety glasses, and took up the scalpels for an eyeball dissection last week. After a demonstration by the teachers and careful instructions, they divided into groups and went on a biological treasure hunt, searching for the iris, lens, retina, choroid and more.
There were plenty of scrunched-up noses, but others couldn’t wait to dive in. They all finished the lesson with more scientific knowledge under their belt and an experience to remember.
