There is something incredibly powerful and special about coming together to grow in our faith and to worship our father in heaven as a chapel family. Equipt camp 2020 was an incredible experience shared by 87 student campers and 15 staff and was a privilege to be a part of. From the last Thursday afternoon to the Saturday night saw many new friendships formed and some incredible bonds created between the senior and middle school students.
The theme of the camp was centred around the song “Just Be” by Kim Walker-Smith. Inspiring and challenging devotions were brought daily by our amazing chaplain Mr K around the topic of “making time for God” even in the busyness. In our fast-paced lives it is so easy to get distracted and busy with all the mundane things we have to do but it was such an important reminder to make time for the creator of everything; the creator of time. We were so blessed to have had six incredible worship sessions and five workshop sessions in the electives in Music, Dance, Ministry and Service. These brought about an amazing opportunity to develop our gifts and pray with other students, our year levels, the school and the wider community.
I have been super inspired by Equipt camp 2020. I loved worshiping as a group in the stairwells of MPAC. The genuine care and mentorship by Mueller staff has helped me grow in my faith and the opportunities offered here at Mueller are second to none. Equipt camp was a really special time to “Just Be” with God and each other.
