Music Extension is an ATAR subject that provides an opportunity for students with specific abilities in music to extend their expertise. Students can elect to specialise in one specific area of music being either performance, composition or musicology.
Georgie ten Broeke is an extraordinarily talented violinist and pianist having obtained a very high grading for both instruments under the AMEB (Australian Music Exams Board). Lucy Dickfos is an impressive singer and guitarist who is primarily self-taught and a singer-songwriter.
Both girls have been performing and refining their performance techniques in the recording studio. Their recording here (link below) of ‘Elephante’ is a warm-up piece designed to assist violinists with refining their bowing technique.
