This week Mrs Shapland’s Year 10 Biology class studied the presence of DNA in the cells of plants and animals. The group attempted an experiment that aimed to extract and compare DNA found in strawberries, kiwi, and bananas, using everyday materials.
There was great delight as each group broke down the cells to access the DNA and lifted the slimy substance out of the test tube – science at work! Check it out below…
