Last week our Animal Studies class had an encounter with a pair of baby wallabies. One of the students has been volunteering to care for them…read her story below.

My name is Esther, I’m a year 10 student at Mueller College. With the support from my parents I have been rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing, sick, injured and orphaned wildlife for over four years.

Korg is our 7 month old male Red-neck Wallaby. He has been in our care for 3 months after his mother dropped him when chased by dogs. Miek is our 8 month old female Red-neck Wallaby. She has been in our care for 2 months after she was flung from her mother’s pouch by the impact of a car.

Please visit my website (pouchpile.com) or social media accounts (@pouch_pile) to keep up to date with Korg and Miek’s rehabilitation journey.
