Next week our annual Beanies for Brain Cancer campaign kicks off for 2021. Inspired by the battle fought by late student, Asher Mashonganyika, the week aims to fundraise for the Mark Hughes Foundation whose mission ‘is to raise much needed funds for research, to create awareness and support brain cancer patients and their families’.
Beanies will be available to purchase throughout Week 4 at stalls in both the Primary (near chaplains offices) and Secondary areas (near tuckshop). The stalls will be open before school and during break times while stocks last – we recommend purchasing at the beginning of the week if there is a particular style you have your eye on.
On Monday students will hear more about Asher’s journey during assembly and the Asher Memorial Basketball Game will take place during morning tea on Wednesday at the Lacey Sports Centre.
