The Sports Awards gathered a large portion of the College to celebrate sporting achievements in 2021. While so many of the students carry incredible talent, the focus of the night was to honour the attitude of sacrifice that is required to be part of a team, to practice, and to hone skills.
Olympians Ashleigh Gentle and Zac Stubblety-Cooke shared wisdom and inspiration from their sporting journeys before helping to present the students with their awards. Some lucky students got to have a close-up look at their Olympic medals in the photo booth afterward.
The ceremony saw teachers and coaches sharing highlights of the year as they introduced the award recipients. Applause from friends and teammates roared as they congratulated sportspeople of the year, prized volunteers, academy achievements, and team progress. It was a big, beautiful evening that demonstrated the strength of the sporting community at Mueller.
