Over the past two years, Year 12 Recreation students have worked through a number of outdoors-based units as part of their journey through the program here at Mueller.

As a celebratory final event and in conjunction with their lifelong activity unit, they had a bush cooking night where students learned to cook their dinner in a camp oven over the fire. Students had to personally plan, purchase, prepare and cook a typical ‘roast dinner’, before getting to enjoy it together.

The hope is that students will be able to take this skill and find joy in it for life after school.
